Who we are
ALKALLINE is a boutique web design and digital marketing studio. We are based in Kostarazi, Kastoria, Greece.
Our website address is https://alkalline.eu
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you fill and send us data through a form, you acknowledge that we may use this data to generate a quote or proposal and use them to contact you back. We don’t use data that we collect from our forms for reasons other than those stated in each form (ie. project specific data).
Your IP will also be collected, only for protection from known spam bots. We do not save IP data and we do not use this piece of information for any other reason.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
We track the usage of our website purely for performance measurement, user experience enhancement and support. Our analytics vendor of choice is Google Analytics. We use both Universal Analytics as well as GA4 (so don’t be alarmed if you see two scripts loading under the same family).
Who we share your data with
We only share data with data processors of services we use (such as Google for their Analytics). If you opt-in for our newsletter, we share these specific data with MailChimp. We will never share or sell your data to any other 3rd party.
All of our collaborating data processors have established European branches, except MailChimp who operates in the US. Any and all data transfers are being performed under secure channels (using SSL) and all data processors are taking the steps necessary to be GDPR compliant.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How we protect your data
We use SSL so that when you send us any data through our website, those come in encrypted and secure. We do our processing in-house. We do not store any of that data on our website.
